Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award, 2005

Our efforts received national recognition when this center was named the recipient of an American Health Care Association (AHCA)/National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award.

The AHCA/NCAL Quality Award is modeled after criteria from the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, the nation’s premier recognition for quality achievement.

The Bronze award recognizes that the center has made a commitment to continuous quality and performance improvement. Once achieved, the designation is permanent.

Best in Class – Quality of Food Award, 2009

Pinnacle Quality Insight is an independent customer satisfaction firm serving more than 1,100 health care providers in 45 states. The Best in Class awards are given to nursing centers scoring in the top 10% for specific areas of quality service. Centers are ranked based upon monthly patient, resident, and family survey results, as well as side-by-side comparisons with similar nursing centers across the nation.

Quality Respiratory Care Recognition, 2010

Skilled nursing facilities, long-term acute care hospitals and other long-term care facilities that receive the American Association for Respiratory Care’s Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) designation must annually meet strict safety and quality standards.

• employees delivering bedside respiratory care services must hold state-recognized credentials
• respiratory therapists must be available on-site 24 hours-a-day
• written designation of other personnel qualified to perform specific respiratory procedures, and the amount of supervision required
• designated physician named Medical Director of Respiratory Care Services

Kindred Healthcare, our center’s parent company, has been a Fortune magazine Most Admired Healthcare Company for the last three years.  The Most Admired list is the definitive report card on corporate reputations.  Fortune magazine ranks companies within industries, based on nine different “attributes of reputation.”  To create the industry rankings, surveys were sent to over 4,000 executives, directors, and analysts to select the 10 companies they admired most.
